Zoom | Win a Jersey Promotion

All participants are and will be bound by the terms and conditions as set out herein:

  1. Who may enter

The competition is open to new Home-Connect customers (on any package) provided that the customer is at least 18 years old (as at the date of entry). This competition is only applicable to customers who reside in the Zoom fibre areas. Visit Home-Connect coverage map for confirmation of Zoom fibre areas.

  1. Who may not enter

Directors, officers, members, partners, shareholders, employees, advisors, contractors and consultants of Home-Connect and any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Home-Connect, as well as any person who supplies goods or services to Home-Connect in connection with the competition, and all of the aforementioned persons’ immediate family members and life partners, may not enter the competition and shall not be eligible to be selected as the winner of the competition.

  1. How to enter

3.1. New customers – all new customers signing up to Home-Connect’s Package on the Zoom Fibre Network between 5thSeptember 2021 and 30 September 2021 will be automatically entered into the draw, provided that their application has been recorded on the Home-Connect Management profile as having been approved.

3.2. Existing customers – existing customers who applied before 5th September 2021 do not qualify for this competition.

  1. Competition period

The competition starts on 5th September 2021 at 00h00 and closes at 23h59 on 30 September 2021.

  1. Prize

6.1. The winner of the competition will win a Football jersey.

6.2. The prize does not include any optional extras of whatsoever.

6.3. The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferable.

6.4 Draw will take place weekly and one jersey will be given away.

  1. Draw and notification of winner

7.1. The winner will be randomly selected on the announcement dates. The draw will be audited and there will only be one winner.

7.2. If the winner does not respond and claim the prize within 7 days of the date of the draw, Home-Connect reserves the right to draw a replacement winner. Any such replacement draw will be audited.

7.3. In addition to the above, the winner will also have to comply with any other reasonable validation procedures as may be required by Home-Connect in order to claim the prize

7.4. Home-Connect will use its reasonable efforts to contact the winner telephonically, by calling the contact number that the customer has indicated on the Home-Connect Management portal.

7.5. If Home-Connect is unable to contact the winner after reasonable efforts to do so as set out above, or if the winner does not claim the prize within 7 days of the date of the draw, then that person’s entry and right to win the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited and waived, and Home-Connect may then randomly draw another winner from the pool of remaining participants. Any such replacement draw will be audited.

7.6. Following the draw on the announcement date, the name of the winner will be announced on Home-Connect’s various Social Media Platforms.

7.7. By entering the competition, each participant (and the prize winner in particular) gives Home-Connect the right to publish the prize winner’s name and photograph in any advertising and/or promotional material or event, on Home-Connect’s Social Media Platforms, in any print media, at any point of sale and/or in any public relations material. The nature and manner of such releases will be determined within the sole discretion of Home-Connect.

  1. General

8.1. By entering the competition, each participant grants Home-Connect the right to process his/her personal information and to validate his/her entry. No entry will be considered valid until such validation process has taken place.

8.2. Each participant warrants, represents and undertakes that the information provided by them in connection with the competition is accurate, correct, and complete. Without limitation, any of the following acts on the part of a participating – dishonesty, misrepresentation, fraud, identity theft and the like – shall result in an immediate disqualification and forfeiture of such participant’s entry. If the prize winner is found to have committed any of the acts, the draw will be declared void and will result in a further draw being held and a new winner being announced. Home-Connect shall not in any manner whatsoever be liable to any participant in respect of any damages and/or losses of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising which a participant may suffer because of the draw being declared void for any of the abovementioned reasons.

8.3. If the winner is a person who is not eligible to have entered the competition, for any reason whatsoever, then Home-Connect will invalidate the entry, and will draw a new winner. Any such replacement draw will be audited.

8.4. The prize must be collected by the prize winner on such date and at such place as is determined by Home-Connect in its sole discretion. Home-Connect is not and will not be liable for any costs (of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising) incurred or to be incurred by the winner in claiming or utilizing the prize. The prize winner indemnifies Home-Connect accordingly.

8.5. All risk in and to, and benefit and ownership of, the prize shall pass to the winner on the date specified by Home-Connect for the collection thereof (notwithstanding that the winner may not collect the prize on such date).

8.6. At the end of the competition, all Home-Connect’s obligations of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in regard to the competition as well as in regard to the prize shall automatically terminate.

8.7. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the competition and/or these terms and conditions, Home-Connect’s decision will be final and binding on all participants and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.8. Home-Connect is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any entry or participant if it, acting reasonably, believes there has been any irregular, fraudulent or mala fide conduct by, or on behalf of, such participant, and Home-Connect will not be obliged to notify participants of entries that are rejected.

8.9. Home-Connect may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities, mala fide or fraudulent practices by, or on behalf of, any person claiming the prize.

8.10. The competition is also subject to, and must be read in conjunction with, Home-Connect’s existing terms and conditions applicable to the use of its products and services.

8.11. If the competition is held to be or becomes unlawful or if Home-Connect is required by the Minister of Trade and Industry or the National Consumer Commission or the Internet Service Providers’ Association or any other governmental and/or regulatory authority to alter any aspect of the competition, then to the full extent permitted by law, Home-Connect reserves the right to suspend or terminate the competition immediately and without notice, in which event all participants agree to waive (and shall be deemed to have waived) any rights that they may have in terms of the competition and all participants accept (and shall be deemed to have accepted) that Home-Connect shall not in any manner whatsoever be liable to or have any liability towards any participants, and each participant indemnifies Home-Connect accordingly.

8.12. Home-Connect reserves the right to amend the details of and pertaining to this competition, in which event these terms and conditions shall be amended accordingly.

8.13. Home-Connect reserves the right to cancel or suspend the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control. In such event, each participant agrees to waive (and shall be deemed to have waived) any rights of whatsoever nature it may have in terms of the competition, and each participant accept (and shall be deemed to have accepted) that Home-Connect shall not in any manner whatsoever be liable to or have any liability towards any participants arising from or in connection with such cancellation or suspension, and each participant indemnifies Home-Connect accordingly.

8.14. Under no circumstances will Home-Connect be liable to any participant for any consequential, indirect, incidental, punitive or special damages of whatsoever nature (including for any loss of business opportunities, loss of profits and/or loss of anticipated savings).

  1. Limitation of liability

To the full extent permitted by law:

Home-Connect, its associated companies, agents, contractors and any of its personnel involved in this competition, assume and shall have no liability of whatsoever nature for any direct or indirect loss or damage, death or injury arising from or in any way associated with participation in the competition or from using the prize or for any loss or damage, death or injury howsoever arising.

9.2. Home-Connect assumes and shall have no liability of whatsoever nature arising from or in connection with any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.

3 Months Free Promotion

 The Home-Connect standard terms and conditions are applicable to these terms and conditions unless explicitly mentioned within the Home-Connect terms and conditions. These standard terms and conditions are available at www.home-connect.co.za 

  1. The promotional offer will be made available from the 1 Feb to the 28 Feb 2021. This promotional offer is available to all new customers. Anyone who signs up outside of that period will not be eligible for the promotional package price. 
  2. Customer who signs up during the promotional period will qualify for 3 months free subscription. At the end of the 3-months period the pricing will revert to the standard prices. 
  3. Home-Connect fibre service is available on a month-to-month basis (Terms and Conditions for Home-Connect Month-to-Month Contract applicable). 
  4. The following inclusive free value-added services shall apply during the promotion period when customers sign up to the value of R5 996.

  5. After the 3 months free has expired, the next debit order will be for any Once-Off Charges, pro-rata of your first month plus one Monthly Fee in advance.

All cancellations must be processed via the Home Connect online portal using your login credentials: https://portal.home-connect.co.za. Our Operations team will process your request and will email you confirmation of the cancellation acceptance. 
  7.  Should you terminate prior to the expiration of 24 months, you will be liable to pay Home Connect a settlement amount of R2998 which covers 50% of the cost as per clause 4. 
  8. Your fibre service can be moved to an alternative address at no additional cost.

Vumatel 4 Months Free Promotion

1. The promotion is valid from the 1 November 2020 to the 31 January 2020. 

2. The promotion is only valid on the Vumatel network. 

3. This promotion is open only to new customers and where a brand-new fibre installation is required and where the address is falls within the qualifying areas. 

4. Customers need to complete and apply to Home-Connect via Home-Connect website during the promotional period to qualify for the 4 months free. 

5. Fibre installation means where there is no existing fibre line or ONT (Optical Network Terminal). 

6. This promotion is not available to customers switching from another ISP or where a fibre line exists.
